We are seeking an experienced Claims professional to join our Global Real Estate and Construction team at Lockton Companies. As a Claims Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients in the validation, preparation, and progression of large and complex claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large and complex claims for clients, demonstrating the value of Lockton's Claims Consultancy proposition.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the claims process, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution.
  • Support clients immediately post-loss occurrence, providing expert guidance and advice.
  • Collate information from clients/stakeholders, calculate losses, and present them to loss adjusters, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Secure agreement from clients to earn fees for the preparation of their claims, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Support the Lockton claims community with advice on technical issues, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Attend and lead claims meetings with clients, loss adjusters, and insurers, effectively communicating and negotiating.
  • Thoroughly understand policy wording and coverage afforded to clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Support the development of colleagues and team members by imparting knowledge, skills, and experience, promoting a culture of growth and learning.
  • Identify and develop alternative revenue streams for claims-related activities, aligning with clients' interests and requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial property claims is essential, with a sound understanding of London Market Real Estate desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe, if required, to support clients and attend meetings.
