About the Role

Are you a Registered Nurse seeking professional growth, flexible working, and a better work-life balance?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Health Specialist to join our team at Maximus. As a key member of our healthcare assessment team, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Your role will involve conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to determine how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily activities. You will then produce detailed reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person's eligibility for benefits.

You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires compassion, experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
  • Produce high-quality reports to support benefit claims.
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside the NHS.
  • You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
