Establishing a Research Group in Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team and establish their own group in oncology. The successful candidate will design and develop a program of laboratory-based research with the potential to translate to the clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a program of laboratory-based research
- Contribute to the Department's taught post-graduate programs
- Host Masters and other post-graduate students within their group
Required Skills and Qualifications
The post holder will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification research experience and a track record in a relevant field of research. They will have a strong publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field, and be on a trajectory to independence. Experience of managing research projects and staff is also required.
A strong publication record and experience of making grant applications would be advantageous.
