Job Summary

We are seeking a newly qualified engineer to join our team. As a committed and motivated individual, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake remedial engineering works to industrial laundry equipment on site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Repair equipment in a safe and timely manner, ensuring that Production is regularly updated on progress.
  • Provide ideas and input into the continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
  • Work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement suitable solutions.
  • Ensure the Company's disciplines, rules, and standards are maintained.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, and near misses in accordance with Health and Safety Policies.
  • Ensure that safe systems of work and best practice procedures are adhered to at all times.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing/process environment.
  • Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualification.
  • Theory of both Electrical and Mechanical trades with knowledge of engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical circuits, and the ability to follow the basics of relevant drawings/schematics.
  • Self-motivated and energized to gain knowledge using all available information.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Able to record PPM information into a CMMS system accurately.
  • A logical approach to organizing tasks with a high attention to detail.
