**About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the accounts department, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Invoicing and Remittances:** Process daily, weekly, and monthly invoices, as well as remittances, to ensure timely payment from clients.
  • **Financial Record-Keeping:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including purchase ledgers, to ensure compliance with company and group SLAs.
  • **Support to Financial Controller:** Provide administrative support to the Financial Controller, including answering queries and resolving issues.
  • **Core Functions:** Perform daily tasks, including running invoices, processing remittances, and collating and sending invoices and remittances to clients.
  • **Communication:** Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • **Administrative Support:** Provide administrative support to the accounts department, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining the accounts mailbox.
  • **Cash and Supplier Management:** Ensure timely payment to suppliers and enforcement agents, as well as reconciling payments made to suppliers.
  • **Covering Absences:** Cover cashiers and billing administrators during annual leave and busy periods to ensure continuity of service.

Requirements:

  • **Experience:** Proven experience in an accounts or administrative role, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures.
  • **Skills:** Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • **Education:** Relevant qualifications, such as AAT or ACCA, would be advantageous.
