Housing Sustainment Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Sustainment Worker to join our Housing Services Team at our Stoke on Trent Head Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers with a range of needs, including mental health, addictions, learning disabilities, recent homelessness, and debt.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Provide guidance and support to customers to sustain their housing, focusing on identifying their specific needs, vulnerabilities, and life skills essential for independent living.
- Access to Support: Assist customers in accessing support via specialist external partners, training, and volunteering opportunities.
- Risk Identification: Identify risks and triggers to positive progression and empower customers to take steps towards independence.
- Accommodation Options: Identify next steps accommodation options and assist customers in accessing them.
- Trauma-Informed Approach: Provide a trauma-informed approach to customers' lived experiences.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with key partners to ensure customers' housing needs are met.
- Qualifications: GCSE English and Maths grade C or above (grades 4-9 or equivalent).
- Experience: Experience of dealing with the needs of our customer group, including those with Learning Disabilities, Entrenched Homelessness, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Dependencies, dual diagnosis.
- Skills: Customer-focused, excellent planning and delivery, able to balance multiple priorities against critical deadlines.
- Flexible Working: Flexible working with a regular office presence.
