Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at our Head Office in Gillingham. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process from start to finish.
Job Description:The ideal candidate will have experience in a Buying/Ordering department and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, and Excel. You will be required to enter pricing, material specifications, and project-specific information into Probe, liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and deliveries, and manage the Purchasing emails to ensure all queries are addressed.
Key Responsibilities:- Enter pricing, material specifications, and project-specific information into Probe
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and deliveries
- Manage the Purchasing emails to ensure all queries are addressed
- Support the Purchasing Manager in obtaining terms and pricing for labour (Non-PAYE), site materials, plant hire, and skip hire
- Communicate with the projects team regarding material requirements, budget adjustments, orders, and deliveries
- Update Probe with accurate pricing, project-specific mapping, and material schedule changes
- Handle invoice queries with support from the Accounts Department
- Independently manage queries and issues from start to finish with support from the Purchasing Manager
The ideal candidate will possess advanced user skills in Microsoft Outlook and MS Word, as well as competence in MS Excel. They will also have excellent English language skills, attention to detail, and analytical approach. Additionally, they should be able to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and data entry.
Please note that this role is ideal for someone with 3-4 years of experience dealing with multi-disciplinary teams, data entry, and query management.
