We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Senior Residential Support Worker at our client's service in Herne Bay, Kent.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Residential Children's home, EBD 4 bed home, providing care and support for young people and promoting their independence and protection.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist the Home Manager and Deputy Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and upholding the organisation's Mission Statement and Values
  • Support and manage the staff team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as necessary
  • Ensure each shift is planned and resources are allocated
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
  • Offer supervision and support to staff in line with National Minimum Standards and as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of working within a Residential Ofsted environment (desired)
  • Experience of working with children and young people ages 8-18 years with EBD
  • Proven ability to manage challenging young people
  • Familiarity with Ofsted regulations
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (ideal)
