We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveying Specialist to join our team at Footprint. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quantity surveyor to take on a challenging role and make a real impact in the social housing sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates and managing project budgets, ensuring that our social housing projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About the Job:

  • Deliver accurate cost estimates for social housing projects, taking into account factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs
  • Manage project budgets, identifying potential cost savings and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues, ensuring that risks are mitigated and projects are delivered safely and efficiently

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Package
