About the Job

This Apprentice Bricklayer role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in bricklaying techniques. As a member of the Wates team, you will work on various projects, developing your skills in:

  • Radial and Battered Brickwork: You will learn to set out and build brickwork, including simple arches and surrounding brickwork.
  • Feature and Reinforced Brickwork: You will acquire skills to set out and build brickwork, incorporating common decorative features such as oversailing courses and simple corbels.
  • Cavity Walling and Masonry Support Systems: You will construct cavity walling, including openings, brick inspection chambers, joint finishes, and set out a square, using a gauge rod and/or profiles.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in bricklaying techniques, working with a experienced team at Wates.
