GTS Group Ltd is seeking a talented Scientific Researcher to join our Product Integration team, focusing on the design and development of functional formulations. This role involves collaborating with fellow scientists and technicians to push the boundaries of our technology.

Your work will directly contribute to the development of advanced materials with controlled properties for production purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop functional nano-coatings using plasma deposition techniques.
  • Lead and participate in R&D projects to understand the physical mechanisms behind desirable coating performance.
  • Optimize new processes and testing methods.
  • Maintain safety and efficiency in the laboratory environment.
  • Report findings to senior team members and actively participate in discussions.
  • Consult relevant literature to support experimental design and analysis.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to advance projects and assist team members in evaluating and interpreting data.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Surface Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry experience with a strong background in laboratory-based experimental work.
  • Proficient in collating and analyzing experimental data and presenting findings.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and build relationships across all levels.
  • Experience with surface analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of polymer chemistry and coating growth mechanisms is a plus.

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing barrier coatings for electrochemical corrosion protection.
  • Understanding of polymer chemistry and surface science.
