We are seeking a motivated and caring Home Support Assistant to join our team in Lanarkshire. As a Home Support Assistant, you will work closely with Chloe, a lady with Autism and visual impairment, to provide emotional support and assistance with daily living tasks.

About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a person-centred care environment where you will be responsible for providing emotional support, assistance with daily living tasks, and promoting Chloe's independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and assistance with daily living tasks, including personal care and household chores.
  • Support Chloe to participate in community activities, such as visiting local coffee shops and attending sensory experiences.
  • Work closely with Chloe's family and other stakeholders to ensure that her needs are met and her goals are achieved.
  • Develop and implement a person-centred support plan that meets Chloe's needs and goals.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of person-centred care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with Chloe and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to work flexibly and provide 24-hour support to Chloe, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
