Smile Education is committed to providing high-quality education and support services to students with special educational needs. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant for Students with Additional Needs to join our team as a permanent, full-time member of staff.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work with students who require extra support in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The estimated salary for this position is £30,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

As a Teaching Assistant for Students with Additional Needs, you will be responsible for supporting students with neurological and cognitive learning needs, delivering 1:1 and group intervention sessions, and collaborating with experienced teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualifications in teaching or related field (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
  • Degree-level education with teaching experience
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is desirable
  • Calm, compassionate, and proactive manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
