Job Description

Paediatric Nurse Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Spire Southampton Hospital. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our Children and Young People's services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within paediatrics, preferably in a surgical setting, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be able to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to children and young people, including pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and emotional support.

You will also collaborate with parents, guardians, and consultants to ensure seamless patient care and make recommendations to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, you will participate in multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Sick Children's Nurse with no restriction on practice
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience working within paediatrics, ideally in a surgical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
