Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Management Technician to join our team at Sheffield City Council.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing Sheffield's highway network, working closely with Engineers and the Principal Engineer to identify and offer solutions to potential highway and traffic management issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret legislation or policy and provide guidance on regulatory or technical issues
  • Support and challenge stakeholders as required
  • Manage and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand complex scenarios and simplify them into practical actions
  • Maintain the highway and pedestrian network for the public

Requirements

  • Full driving license and use of a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
