As a Customer Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for the delivery of circuits and network devices. You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to activate services on our network. This is a technical role requiring independent working and a willingness to contribute to team objectives. The ideal candidate will proactively look for ways to increase quality and efficiency in our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support customers during router installation and associated activities, including patch cabling and cross connects.
  • Collaborate with Field Technicians on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Remain logged into the Installations phone queue to take calls from customer engineers.
  • Manage the shared mailbox, ensuring timely responses and archival processes.
  • Work with telecommunication companies to turn up circuits, including leased lines, hubs, and Ethernet connections.
  • Maintain Remedy database integrity and highlight updates required.
  • Identify process improvements and consider automation tools.
  • Provide updates to technical documentation for the Customer Implementation Group.
  • Build professional relationships with technical peers within customer organisations and similar TNS teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with TNS infrastructure and strategic direction.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in working on complex assignments with minimal guidance.
  • Working experience in Networking.
  • Understanding of mission-critical services using Broadband and/or Mobile connectivity.
  • Effective communication skills, with fluent English required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in installing and configuring router types, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Digi.
  • Point-of-sale, ATM, banking, or finance industry background.
  • Networking certifications, such as CCNA or JNCIA.
  • Experience with Remedy and Salesforce.
  • Mobile carrier data connectivity solution implementation/support.
