Culinary Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in providing a high-quality catering service to residents, guests, and visitors to the home.
Key duties include:
- Assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all meals, with a focus on in-house production and home-baked products.
- Ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the dining room, with fully laid tables in line with company standards.
- Providing regular interaction with residents to gain feedback on the food service and making necessary changes.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Ensuring all meals are planned and cooked in line with planned menus.
- Catering for specialist dietary requirements of residents.
- Managing and leading the team under their supervision.
- Collecting feedback from residents and relatives and reflecting it in menus and food offerings.
- Participating in the Resident of the Day process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with the Head Chef to ensure adherence to the food budget and assisting in the ordering of supplies from nominated and approved suppliers.
- Keeping stock secure, stored appropriately, and minimizing unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs.
- Ensuring equipment is used correctly and reporting defects to the Head Chef.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Ensure mandatory training is up to date and attend additional training provided.

- Participate in the company's Champion role system and undertake tasks relevant to this system.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents and relatives and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Greet visitors in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner and promote the company positively in the local community.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and relatives at all times.
