Research Fellow in Digital Reaction Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Leeds, working on an EPSRC-funded project to develop new digital methods for reaction screening and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop automated flow platforms for reaction screening and process optimisation
- Integrate liquid handling robotics, continuous flow technology, and inline analytical techniques
- Apply machine learning algorithms for reaction optimisation and design space mapping
- Collaborate with industry partners to leverage this novel workflow for accelerated manufacturing of future medicines
About the Project:
This project brings together expertise from the Universities of Leeds, Liverpool, and Cambridge to create a network of digitally coupled reactors, capable of high-throughput screening and self-optimising manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g. chemical engineering, chemistry, physics)
- Experience in reaction engineering, process optimisation, and machine learning
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
