The successful candidate will integrate liquid handling robotics, continuous flow technology, and inline analytical techniques to enable rapid collection of process relevant data. This will require integration of machine learning algorithms for reaction optimisation and mapping of the design space.

Working alongside other members of the team, you will add these capabilities to a multisite reactor network and apply this technology towards pharmaceutically relevant case studies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing automated flow platforms for reaction screening and process optimisation
  • Integrating liquid handling robotics, continuous flow technology, and inline analytical techniques
  • Developing machine learning algorithms for reaction optimisation and mapping of the design space
  • Collaborating with the team to add capabilities to a multisite reactor network
  • Applying technology towards pharmaceutically relevant case studies

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. chemical engineering, chemistry, physics)
  • Experience in flow chemistry and reaction engineering
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in reaction engineering
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
