Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Second Chef to join our team at Crooton Ltd. As a Second Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation. Your duties will include assisting the Head Chef in menu development, managing the kitchen in their absence, and maintaining a warm and welcoming environment for residents.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Chef to work with fresh seasonal food, providing hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will have the chance to deliver person-centred hospitality across all services, working closely with residents to tailor menus around their needs. Our client is proud to deliver exceptional care and looks for warm, motivated, and passionate chefs who are driven by quality.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need a personable and warm approach, a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, and hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent. You should also have a good understanding of nutrition, experience of working with fresh seasonal food, and the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home. In addition, you must be confident engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus, have a good understanding of HACCP, and be able to manage stock control.
