Job Summary:

Hello Recruitment Associates is seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of supplier invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders and ensuring timely payment to suppliers
  • Receiving and posting supplier invoices for approval
  • Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy
  • Preparing payment runs for approval and managing credit card payments
  • Identifying areas for cost savings and implementing process improvements

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Managing office equipment and supplies
  • Supporting the management of the company vehicle fleet
  • Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Performing other administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Experience with financial software, preferably SAGE
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • GCSE maths and a strong understanding of financial concepts

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, minimum 4 days per week in the office
  • Competitive salary range: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
