Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job Summary:
Hello Recruitment Associates is seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of supplier invoices and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders and ensuring timely payment to suppliers
- Receiving and posting supplier invoices for approval
- Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy
- Preparing payment runs for approval and managing credit card payments
- Identifying areas for cost savings and implementing process improvements
Additional Responsibilities:
- Managing office equipment and supplies
- Supporting the management of the company vehicle fleet
- Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
- Performing other administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with financial software, preferably SAGE
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- GCSE maths and a strong understanding of financial concepts
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, minimum 4 days per week in the office
- Competitive salary range: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
