About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective assembly of our products, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install mechanical components and sub-assemblies in accordance with design specifications and production schedules.
  • Conduct quality checks on components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production management and other team members to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in mechanical engineering and assembly.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
