About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective assembly of our products, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install mechanical components, including piping and sub-assemblies, in accordance with designs and specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks on components and equipment to ensure compliance with job parts lists and Bill of Materials.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the Production Management team promptly.
  • Prepare finished equipment for dispatch and loading/unloading vehicles as required.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure smooth production processes.

Requirements:

  • Transferrable experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace.
  • Good understanding of plastic pipe work manufacturing techniques, including glued and welded.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID drawings.
  • Experience in plastic fabrication.

Desirable:

  • Site working experience.
  • Experience of Continuous Improvement.
