Job DescriptionWe're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of our next-generation air-breathing ion propulsion system. As a key member of our team, you'll work alongside mechanical, test, and simulation engineers to drive innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex mechanical products from scratch, leveraging strong knowledge in building systems, CAD, drawings, tolerances, and structural analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of our air-breathing ion propulsion system.
- Develop and maintain high-quality designs, ensuring adherence to engineering principles, materials, structures, loads, joints, and other mechanical components.
- Utilize FEM software for structural analysis and high-tolerance design.
- Conduct basic quality control and select manufacturers for production.
- Exceptional skills in CAD modeling, drawing preparation, and knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and materials.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, structures, loads, joints, and other mechanical components.
- Experience in using FEM software for structural analysis.
- High-tolerance design, selecting manufacturers, and conducting basic quality control.
