Lead Mechanical Engineer for Ultra-Low Earth Orbit Satellites

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of our air-breathing ion propulsion system for ultra-low Earth orbit satellites.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex mechanical products from scratch, including the air-breathing ion propulsion system.
- Develop and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other satellite components.
- Conduct structural analysis using FEM software (e.g., ANSYS) to ensure mechanical integrity and reliability.
- Develop and implement high-tolerance design and manufacturing processes to ensure precision and quality.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to select and qualify suppliers and materials.
- Conduct quality control and assurance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing complex mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and FEM software (e.g., ANSYS).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex mechanical systems and develop innovative solutions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
