Job Title: Immigration Manager (Part-time - 3 days per week)

At Wood Mackenzie Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Immigration Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Immigration Manager, you will be responsible for delivering immigration services for the business and ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective immigration policies and procedures to ensure compliance with immigration law.
  2. Manage the visa population in accordance with immigration regulations and oversee all immigration matters globally.
  3. Provide expert advice on complex immigration matters and partner with HR colleagues and business managers to ensure we can manage and develop our talent strategy.
  4. Oversee the management of vendors and ensure compliance with service levels across multiple countries.
  5. Manage operations to ensure seamless initiation, execution, and responsiveness of all immigration matters.
  6. Review and recommend process improvements to our immigration programme.
  7. Lead communications on immigration topics and develop training and awareness materials.
  8. Monitor local/operational compliance with right to work verification requirements.
  9. Maintain budgeting and forecast data for all immigration spend globally.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in an in-house global immigration or mobility programme for a multinational company.
  2. Expert knowledge of UK immigration, including UK sponsorship licence Level 1 user experience.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  4. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience working with/handling highly sensitive/confidential employee data.
  5. Strong communication and influencing skills to explain technical concepts to colleagues without an immigration background.
  6. Able to work collaboratively as part of a local and global HR team.

This role is part-time and can be done remotely or be office-based. If the candidate is remote, they must be able to travel to Edinburgh from time to time.
