Job Title: Workshop Maintenance Controller

Job Description:

As a Workshop Maintenance Controller at Briggs Equipment, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment management and maintenance services across the UK and Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is prepared to industry standards (including quality, timings, and guarantee requirements).
  • Effectively communicate with all team members, including one-on-ones and toolbox talks, to identify training needs and set performance standards.
  • Work with workshop Admin to manage WIP to an agreed level.
  • Comply with company SHEQ policies.
  • Ensure all possible warranty claims are identified and processed in line with company and manufacturer procedures.
  • Be responsible for and control overtime and labour requirements, all to be authorised by the Group Workshop & Logistics Manager.
  • Conduct and support initial team employee relation matters such as performance reviews, investigations, and team meetings.
  • Support all on-site service contracts such as cleaning, building work, ground maintenance, fire protection, waste, and security.
  • Supervise all 3rd party contractors and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Maintain site records for the facility such as fire, services, and contractor records including statutory reports.

  • A proven track record of driving performance against KPIs.
  • Exceptional levels of organisation, numeracy, and literacy, and the ability to effectively coordinate workshop resources to exceed customer requirements.
  • Good levels of computer literacy with knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
