Job ContextProfit Protection is a vital function that adds value and reduces loss. This role requires a high level of analytical skill and the ability to identify potentially fraudulent transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Profit Protection Business Partners and National Fraud Investigators to produce data-driven insights and investigation cases.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize Halfords' data systems and visualization tools, including SAP BW, SAP finance, Alteryx, Power BI, and IDM Data Mining, to analyze information and report on trends of loss or fraud.
- Manage Halfords' annual stocktake programme, including reporting of losses, scheduling of annual stocktakes, liaison with external stocktake providers, and Halfords IT department.
- Produce and maintain monthly and weekly schedules of stockloss reports, including dashboards, regular reports, and stockloss reports for other departments and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the PP team to support key projects and work with the PP field team and Fraud Investigators to provide supporting information on store-specific losses and fraud cases.
- Act as the key point of contact for Profit Protection-related enquiries in the support centre and recommend, design, and implement enhanced reports and system improvements.
- Hold the role of Departmental Super User for Data Mining, BW, Alteryx, Power BI, and other systems and attend key PP and Finance meetings.
- The role will be based at Redditch Support Centre, with hybrid working, and may require some field-based working.
- Undertake any ad hoc projects or tasks within the scope of the Profit Protection remit as agreed.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with cases.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Knowledge of SAP BW, Excel, MS Office 365, Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI.
- A strong instinct to identify discrepancies in large data samples.
- An understanding of Data Mining technologies.
- Experience of Support Centre and Store environments.
- Strong team working skills.
- High levels of personal integrity.
- Impact and influencing skills.
- Able to prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
- A full driving license and ability to stay away from home if required.
