Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Domestic Abuse Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to lead our Domestic Abuse Support service in Bradford. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and families affected by domestic abuse, with a focus on trauma-informed practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of practitioners in delivering high-quality support to children and families affected by domestic abuse
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed practice approaches to support the reduction of trauma symptoms and rebuilding of relationships
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to understand the impact of domestic abuse on affected children and ways in which they can support

Requirements:

  • Experience of working directly with children, young people, and their families where there has been domestic abuse
  • Understanding and experience of systemic and trauma-informed approaches to working with children and families
  • Leadership and line management experience
  • Experience of safeguarding risk assessment, identifying safeguarding concerns, and following procedures
