Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Compliance Specialist to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate metrics and data trending to inform management decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain EHS policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to promote EHS awareness and compliance among employees.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage facilities maintenance and property management personnel to ensure fire and life safety controls are in place and maintained.
  • Oversee permitting submissions for air, water, and land jurisdictional requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government inquiries related to EHS.
  • Function as a technical EHS resource for management and the safety committee, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in the site's Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S activities, providing recommendations for improving EHS practices.
  • Oversee the site ergonomics program, working with third-party resources as needed.
  • Coordinate with regional security manager to ensure life safety measures are in place.
  • Manage and coordinate facility programs and projects.
  • Lead a team of SERE, facility, and maintenance specialists.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma and certified member of IOSH.
  • 5 years' experience in EHS work and activities related to environmental governance, with previous facilities management experience preferred.
  • Desirable: Qualified ISO auditor.
