About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Doctor to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust, specializing in Community Paediatrics.

This substantive, full-time position is based at Brentwood Community Hospital and offers a unique opportunity to work with babies, children, and young people across South West Essex.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support, guidance, and care to patients and their families, while working closely with Consultant Paediatricians, Specialist Grade Doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to deliver high-quality care to babies, children, and young people across South West Essex.
  • Provide expert medical support and guidance to the team, ensuring seamless patient care and exceptional outcomes.
  • Liaise with external health providers, acute hospitals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota, prioritizing child safety and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • Mastery in managing a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding.
  • At least 4 years postgraduate training, including community paediatrics or equivalent experience and competences.
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training.
