Job Title: Airport Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Engineer to join our team at Ifairworthy. As an Airport Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness of our helicopters and collaborating with various teams to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the design office, project engineering, flight test pilots, quality, and production areas to ensure effective and timely completion of initial airworthiness processes.
  2. Work on new and changed helicopters type certification, verifying compliance with design and safety requirements of the MAA, CAA, and other validating authorities.
  3. Classify and certify relevant helicopter design changes to develop and improve helicopter configuration and performance.
  4. Coordinate tasks and scheduling related to type certification changes, repairs, and validation processes.
  5. Liaise with the appointed Aviation Authority personnel and report on investigation progress and scheduled tests.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working within a design office, military, and/or civil environment.
  2. Previous experience in the Type Certification process from a military and/or civil perspective.
  3. A degree in a relevant Engineering or Scientific subject or experience in lieu of qualifications.
  4. Ability to follow well-defined engineering processes.
  5. Ability to work in cross-functional team environments.
  6. Ability to make technical decisions.
  7. Time management and organisational skills.
  8. Attention to detail.
  9. Experience in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Membership of a Professional Association.
