We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Leonardo UK Ltd. As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical advice to customers, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of their aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide informed technical solutions and advice to customers, enabling them to maximise the availability and serviceability of their aircraft safely.
  • Discharge day-to-day operational technical support through a task management process, ensuring the originator provides all the required information and receives a response within the agreed timescales.
  • Contribute to the development of the aircraft in service by providing direct feedback of in-service technical issues to LHUK Product Support Engineering (PSE) within Customer Support & Services (CS&S).
  • Preserve airworthiness of LHUK in-service aircraft by close co-operation and coordination between Operators, Service Engineering and Chief Projects Engineer's (CPE's) offices.
  • Provide technical advice to LHUK colleagues to minimise material and maintenance effort.
  • Provide engineering analysis of technical data feedback from customer operations.
  • Assist the Platform leads to gain operational and cost of ownership support benefits.
  • Provide assistance to the Customer Service Managers with the provision of advice on in-service issues.
  • Support the material teams in understanding viable and approved alternatives.
  • Co-ordinate other business functions within Product Support Engineering and Core Engineering to deliver the customer requirements.
  • Report on issues, activities and trends and support pan-variant impact assessments.
  • Provide performance and incident reports.
  • Provide the point of contact for high-priority out-of-hours technical issues on a rotational basis for customers conducting 24/7 operations.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Aerospace Engineer with a proven track record of responsibilities in either the maintenance or design and development fields.
  • HNC/HND or Degree in a related Engineering subject with significant experience of aerospace design and/or maintenance in technically responsible roles.
  • Good understanding of aircraft documentation and airworthiness.
  • IT literate with all basic desktop applications and company-standard software.
