We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our diverse Service Engineering department. The primary objective of this role is to provide technical expertise to Leonardo customers, ensuring their aircraft are returned to service while maintaining airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer informed technical solutions and advice to customers, enabling them to maximize aircraft availability and serviceability safely.
  • Provide day-to-day operational technical support through a task management process, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to the development of in-service aircraft by providing direct feedback of technical issues to LHUK Product Support Engineering.
  • Promote airworthiness of LHUK in-service aircraft through close cooperation with Operators, Service Engineering, and Chief Projects Engineer's offices.
  • Offer technical advice to LHUK colleagues to minimize material and maintenance efforts.
  • Perform engineering analysis of technical data feedback from customer operations.
  • Support Platform leads in gaining operational and cost-of-ownership benefits.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Managers to provide advice on in-service issues.
  • Support material teams in understanding viable and approved alternatives.
  • Coordinate business functions within Product Support Engineering and Core Engineering to deliver customer requirements.
  • Report on issues, activities, and trends, and support pan-variant impact assessments.
  • Provide performance and incident reports.
  • Act as the point of contact for high-priority out-of-hours technical issues for customers conducting 24/7 operations.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Aerospace Engineer with a proven track record in maintenance or design and development fields.
  • HNC/HND or Degree in a related Engineering subject with significant experience in aerospace design and/or maintenance.
  • Good understanding of aircraft documentation and airworthiness.
  • IT literate with basic desktop applications and company-standard software.
