Business Applications Manager Job Description

Catch Resource Management is seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap for our application portfolio, aligning it with business objectives and technology trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the organization's application portfolio
  • Align the application portfolio with business objectives and technology trends
  • Manage and lead a team of professionals to ensure the successful implementation of business applications
  • Provide advice to the business on the operating model and make recommendations for upgrading existing systems and installing new software
  • Engage technology and Information Security resources to ensure alignment to IT strategy, architecture, principles, and safe service introduction of applications
  • Manage risks and issues associated with the application landscape and escalate where necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience of testing software, reviewing code created by other team members, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement ethos within the team
  • Capability to take an active and supportive role in managing and helping colleagues learn new features and techniques
  • High technical understanding of IT systems and interface methods
  • Experience of Business Case development, with experience of managing Supplier SLA's and relationships to develop and deliver effective solutions
  • Ability to motivate, collaborate with, and lead others with a successful track record in providing direction and managing performance of staff
  • Experience of identifying and implementing significant process improvements to deliver quantifiable business improvement
  • Strong organisational, project, and time management skills
