Job Title: Business Applications Manager

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Business Applications Manager to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the organisation's application portfolio, aligning it with business objectives and technology trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing core business applications, ensuring they are secure, stable, and fit for purpose. They will also be responsible for providing advice to the business on the operating model and developing the Applications capability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the organisation's application portfolio
Manage core business applications, ensuring they are secure, stable, and fit for purpose
Provide advice to the business on the operating model
Develop the Applications capability across the business
Engage technology and Information Security resources as required to ensure alignment to IT strategy, architecture, principles, and safe service introduction of applications

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience of testing software, reviewing code created by other team members, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement ethos within the team
Capability to take an active and supportive role in managing and helping colleagues learn new features and techniques
High technical understanding of IT systems and interface methods
Experience of Business Case development, with experience of managing Supplier SLA's and relationships to develop and deliver effective solutions
An ability to motivate, collaborate with, and lead others with a successful track record in providing direction and managing performance of staff
Experience of identifying and implementing significant process improvements to deliver quantifiable business improvement
Strong organisational, project, and time management skills
