Job Title: Finance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities and ensuring the integrity of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to track and report on financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce annual financial statements and accounts, ensuring compliance with financial practices and achieving a clean audit report.
  • Financial Management: Manage Profit and Loss reporting on actuals, handle VAT Returns, and maintain weekly Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring them continuously to ensure financial stability.
  • Payroll and HMRC: Assist with Payroll processes and address HMRC queries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Continuously improve and maintain end-to-end financial processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in Real Estate development, particularly Letting Accounts, is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong Excel skills for data manipulation, reports, graphs/charts, and business cases, as well as proficiency in using financial systems, knowledge of Xero is advantageous.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent presentation skills, a proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the company, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
