About Ferrovial Construction
Ferrovial Construction, a leading UK engineering and construction arm of the Ferrovial Group, is seeking a highly motivated Health and Safety professional to join their team.
As a key member of the health and safety team, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring that our projects are executed with the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address health and safety hazards, and provide guidance on best practices and procedures.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, and ensure that they are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, near misses, and audits, and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with client teams to ensure that health and safety requirements are met and that clients are satisfied with our health and safety performance.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health and safety, environmental science, or engineering.
- Proven experience in health and safety, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
