Mechanical Supervisor Opportunity

VGC Personnel is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a large rail project.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all mechanical site activities to ensure efficient execution, adherence to specifications, and compliance with contract time and cost allowances.
2. Collaborate with the site manager to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Ensure accurate recording of relevant health and safety documents and verify that all necessary documents accurately describe the work to be performed.
4. Supervise work to guarantee adherence to method statements and work instructions from the project manager.
5. Record progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
6. Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation when necessary.
7. Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required.
8. Identify and record non-conformance and improvement opportunities, agreeing actions with the person in charge of the works.
9. Recognize the importance of health and safety considerations in all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environments for all.

1. Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor position.
2. Experience working within large civils projects, with rail experience being desirable.
3. Mechanical/Industry experience is essential.
