Research Associate in Single-Photon LIDAR Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to the project Compact, High-Resolution 3D Vision within the Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems at the University of Edinburgh.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for up to 11 months, working 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Implement image and/or signal processing algorithms in software and on FPGA, ideally in real-time applications.
- Collaborate with researchers and industry professionals from different disciplines or technical backgrounds.
- Work independently, exercising a high degree of initiative, and demonstrating a pro-active and flexible approach to work.
- Communicate effectively through oral, written, and presentation of data.
- A good undergraduate degree and a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area.
- Experience in implementing image and/or signal processing algorithms in software and on FPGA, ideally in real-time applications.
