Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, meeting the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of pupils with ASC & SEMH requirements
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours
  • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaise with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and drive interaction and positive learning outcomes
Requirements
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Suitable qualification to degree level
  • Previous successful teaching experience
  • Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEND within an educational setting
  • Experience of behaviour management and techniques
  • Committed to professional development and willing to learn
  • Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work
