The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams across the UK to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Tutor to provide support to a Year 2 Looked After Child (LAC).

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the child, their family, and other professionals to develop a tailored support plan that meets their unique needs and promotes their educational and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide individualized support to the child, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
  2. Collaborate with the child's teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to promote the child's independence, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
  4. Monitor and record the child's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  5. Communicate effectively with the child's family, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEND. The ideal candidate will have:

A strong understanding of SEND and the needs of children with complex needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals.Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
