About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner to lead our Minor Injury Unit team at First Community Health and Care. As a key member of our urgent care services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treat patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat.
  • Work autonomously, taking a full history and examination, requesting investigations, and interpreting results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Supervise junior staff and coordinate the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring high standards of nursing care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

Person Specification

  • Registered First Level Nurse or Paramedic with current NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification or Paramedic Practitioner qualification.
  • ENB 998 or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Clinical expertise in minor injury and illness assessment and treatment.
