Havering Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Planner to join our team as Deputy Team Leader. As a key member of our Transport Planning team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of regeneration across the borough.

Our borough is undergoing significant transformation, with a range of nationally significant infrastructure projects being delivered, including the Lower Thames Crossing. In this leadership position, you will use your transport planning expertise to support the delivery of regeneration, ensuring growth aligns with the Havering Local Plan and Transport Strategy.

You will provide strategic direction and support to members of the transport planning team, contributing to the management of the Council's Bikeability programme and delivering transport planning projects. Your work will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of the Council's aspirations and ambitions, including the emerging Active Travel and Electric Vehicle Charging Point strategies.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to shaping the future of our borough. If you have strong transport/spatial planning skills, experience dealing with Members, and several years of experience working in the transport planning industry, we encourage you to apply.
