Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to design and implement transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation systems for our clients.

Salary
£42,500 per annum

About the Role

Responsibilities include designing and developing transportation plans for civil engineering projects, considering factors such as traffic flow, safety, and environmental impact. You will also conduct traffic impact assessments, propose solutions to mitigate potential issues, and collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and local authorities to integrate transportation plans with overall project designs. Additionally, you will use transportation modeling software to simulate and analyze the impact of proposed transportation plans, stay updated with industry trends and regulations, and prepare reports and presentations to communicate transportation plans and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or a related field, along with proven experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or related roles. You should also have proficiency in transportation modeling software such as VISSIM, Synchro, or Cube, strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and propose solutions for transportation challenges, excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex transportation plans to clients and stakeholders, familiarity with relevant transportation regulations and environmental standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals.
