About the Role
This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving desserts in accordance with established standards. You will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company procedures regarding temperature checks, food labelling, cleaning schedules, and hygiene regulations.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality desserts as delegated by senior staff members
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations
* Report any hazards or defects in equipment to senior chefs on duty
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in volume catering
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
