Job Summary

The Financial Risk Management Leader at Merje is responsible for leading a team in developing risk assessment models and fraud detection systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting and fraud analysis, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of underwriting and fraud detection engines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct a team of analysts in creating and refining pricing models to accurately assess risk and optimize business outcomes.
  • Represent Merje at industry conferences and user groups to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Provide strategic direction for the pricing and fraud teams to drive innovation and process improvement in risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align risk assessment strategies with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in underwriting and fraud analysis within the financial services sector, preferably with a focus on risk management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • In-depth understanding of risk assessment models and fraud detection techniques, including machine learning and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting at conferences and liaising with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  • Proven track record in driving innovation and process improvement in risk management, resulting in significant cost savings and revenue growth.
What We Offer

Merje offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment, flexible remote working options, and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
