Location: Remote (twice monthly visits to Leicester)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible hours available)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our business development efforts in the energy sector. This role offers the flexibility of working from home, with occasional visits to the Leicester office (twice a month). The primary responsibility is to develop and maintain strong relationships with Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) to generate sales opportunities and maximise value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. TPI Relationship Management:
    Foster strong working relationships with TPIs to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
    Collaborate with TPIs to develop strategies that maximise value and drive growth.
    Provide training and support to TPIs to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  2. Sales Process Optimisation:
    Ensure that our sales processes and procedures are efficient and effective in the TPI sales segment.
    Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to drive growth and revenue.
  3. Diary and Cost Management:
    Effectively manage your diary and meetings to maintain service levels while considering costs.
  4. Cross-Department Communication:
    Ensure effective communication with internal teams to drive collaboration and success.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  1. Experience: Strong background in the energy or utilities industry, or in a relevant sales role.
  2. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and transparent communication skills.
  3. Negotiation & Persuasion: High level of negotiation and persuasion skills.
  4. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  5. Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive change and create strategies.
  6. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the business and energy sectors.
  7. Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail.
  8. Positive Attitude: A proactive, driven attitude with a desire to succeed.
  9. Technical Skills: Good computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
