Job Title: Technical Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join our waste treatment team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the pre-requisites, monitoring, and close-down of complex planned and reactive work across maintenance and operations. You will also ensure compliance with statutory requirements and provide technical support to the Operations and Planning & Scheduling Teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the pre-requisites, monitoring, and close-down of complex planned and reactive work across maintenance and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the Operations and Planning & Scheduling Teams.
  • Day-to-day contractor liaison and management.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Planning & Scheduling Teams to provide technical input into future planning and solutions.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working within Water or Wastewater treatment.
  • Experience and knowledge of a number of Health and Safety activities.
  • Expectation to complete both the Permit to Work & EMC course and BES- E-Reporting Course.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Thames Water's Asset Planning System (APS).
  • Understanding and practice of updating the Asset Register.
  • Able to consistently produce work of a high standard with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and be proactive.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple workflows at once.
  • Good decision making abilities.
  • Competent and confident using IT systems.
  • Full driving licence required.
