Job Title: Community CAMHS Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community CAMHS Psychiatry Specialist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, working closely with children and young people, their families, and other external CAMHS mental health providers.

About the Role:
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders, and in specific eating disorders.
